What We Require
From Your Female
To maintain the health and safety of every dog in our care, we require all incoming females to meet our health standards before arrival. These protocols exist to protect your dog, our studs, and the integrity of every breeding we perform.
Not meeting our requirements can result in your visit being postponed. We encourage all clients to confirm their female's vaccination and health records before scheduling.

Current VaccinationsDHPP and Rabies must be current and verifiable before arrival.

Negative Brucellosis TestA negative Brucellosis test is required.

Health Clearance from Your VetYour female should be seen by your veterinarian and cleared for breeding prior to the visit.

Flea, Tick & Parasite FreeYour female must be current on flea/tick prevention and free of internal parasites.

Genetic Health Records (Recommended)Sharing your female's genetic panel allows us to make the most informed pairing recommendation.
We Offer Two Breeding Methods
Fresh-chilled or same-day AI using semen that has been fuly evaluated. Available for local and non-local females alike.
A non-surgical method that deposits semen directly into the uterus. We have the highest success rate with this method.

Initial Consultation & Genetic Matching
Every breeding begins with a phone or text consultation. We review your female's genetic profile, health history, and your goals as a breeder. From there, we identify which of our studs represents the best genetic match — not just for color, but for health marker compatibility.
Progesterone Testing & Ovulation Timing
Timing is everything. We use industry-leading progesterone testing equipment to identify the precise ovulation window for your female. This single step is responsible for the significant improvement in litter size and conception rates we consistently achieve over unmonitored breedings.
Breeding & Semen Analysis
With timing confirmed, we proceed with the breeding using the service method you selected. For AI and TCI we first collect and evaluate semen quality to ensure viability before proceeding. Our experienced team handles every step with precision and care for both animals.

All males in the AMP Genetics program undergo comprehensive genetic and orthopedic health testing before joining our roster. Here's what each stud is evaluated for and why it matters for your breeding program.
Complete Genetic Testing. Results are on file and available for every client. Here are just some of the thing we test for.
- Chondrodystrophy (CDDY)
- Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA)
- Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
- von Willebrand Disease (vWD)
OFA-certified evaluations for hips, patellas, and cardiac health ensure structural soundness is passed forward to offspring.

- Eye Examination — CAER/AVCO
Full color genetic mapping allows us to predict offspring color combinations with accuracy. Ideal for breeders targeting specific coat colors.

A Clean, Safe Environment — Always
Maintaining a disease-free facility is non-negotiable at AMP Genetics. Every dog that enters our property is subject to the same strict health requirements we hold our own studs to. This protects your female, our males, and every breeding we perform.

Strict Vaccination RequirementsAll incoming dogs must have current DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and Canine Influenza. No exceptions. Records verified on arrival.

Separated Housing AreasVisiting females are housed separately from our stud dogs at all times.

Sanitation ProtocolAll housing areas, equipment, and common spaces are cleaned and sanitized using veterinary grade disinfectants.
Free Housing for Out-of-Town Females
Can't make a same-day trip? No problem. We provide complimentary, comfortable housing for long-distance females throughout their stay — from intake through post-breeding rest.
We Handle Local Pickup & Return
For local clients, we coordinate pickup and dropoff of your female. No need to make multiple trips — we handle the logistics so you can focus on your program.
